Kinnock: that well-known socialist

On the Andrew Marr show, Kinnock, trying to occupy the high ground declared that he was shocked the someone like Carol Thatcher would use the term "golliwog". His shock was borne out of common humanity, he said.
What probably surprises Carol, and certainly surprises me, is that someone like Kinnock, when referring to himself, should ever use the word "Lord". Clearly not a run of the mill form of socialist nomenclature, is it?
As hypocrites go, I really wish this one would.
